No Show, Late Arrival, and Cancellation Deposit Policy

Despite numerous reminders, unfortunately, we experience many clients who don’t show up for their appointments (no shows), who arrive late, or who make last minute cancellations.

While we understand things out of our control do come about, it is important to also understand that every appointment time is very valuable. Every ‘no show’ and last minute cancellation takes away from another pet in need. Because of this, we have amended our current policy to the following, – effective September 26th, 2024.

New Client Reservation Fee

  • New clients are required to pay the reservation feet at the time of scheduling their first appointment. If scheduling an appointment for more than one pet, each pet requires the fee.

Existing Clients

  • If you are an established client, and no show to your appointment:
    – A reservation feet will be required to schedule further appointments.
    – The next time an appointment is missed, you will no longer be allowed to schedule in exam room appointments. Only day admit options will be allowed, and the reservation fee* will be required.

Surgery Clients

  • In the event of no shows and cancellations made with less than 24 hours advance notice, the surgery reservation fee** will be required to reschedule
  • Any client who previously has no showed for appointments (see ‘existing clients’), will be required to pay the surgery reservation fee**
  • New clients are to schedule an appointment to be seen by one of our veterinarians prior to scheduling any surgical procedure. See above ‘New Client Reservation Fee’ for reference.

Late Arrival

  • Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to get checked in. If you arrive >5 minutes late for your appointment, you may need to reschedule. Any previous reservation fee* will be forfeited, and a reservation feet will be required to reschedule.

*Reservation Fee of $50:

  • Credited towards the appointment at the appointment time
  • Credited at appointment time if appointment needs to be rescheduled and is done so 24 hours or more in advance.
  • Forfeited in the occurrence of a ‘no show’ and/or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice.

**Surgery Reservation Fee of $200:

  • Required in the event of a no show or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice.
  • Required for clients who have a history or two or more no shows for appointments.
